The team at Maple Bank Farm share a common love of providing and growing food from seed to harvest. We enjoy tending to the seedlings, nurturing them, watching them grow and harvesting fresh delicious food that was grown right here for the enjoyment of our customers. Working at
Maple Bank Farm

Qualifications

Have a positive attitude/enthusiasm for:

  • Farming

  • Gardening

  • Food production

 

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Can work independently and in a team environment

  • Pay attention to detail and takes care to make sure tasks are done properly

  • Can work hard and efficiently

  • Take direction and learn tasks quickly

Field Crew only:

  • Can work in all weather conditions; hot, cold, wet, etc.

Farmstand

Typical Season & Hours:

  • Farmstand hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

  • Farmstand season begin at the end of April through December 23rd.​​

Some typical Tasks for farm stand crew:

  • Be a warm and welcoming presence for our customers

  • Handle customer questions and feedback

  • Check customers out using Square POS

  • Stocking sales area

  • Organizing sales area, back room, and walk-in cooler areas

  • Cleaning

  • Packing wholesale orders

  • Take item inventory

Field Crew

Typical Season & Hours:

  • Field hours are 7:00 am to 4 pm

  • Work for the field crew begins in April but we will hire if needed into June.

Some typical Tasks for field crew:

  • Harvest and wash a variety of vegetables and fruits

  • Hand weeding and hoeing

  • Transplanting (by hand and by tractor transplanter) 

  • Setting up irrigation

  • Greenhouse seeding, transplanting, and watering

  • Operating cultivating tractors

Farmer's Market

Typical Season & Hours:

  • Farmer's market hours are Fridays from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

  • The Farmers market starts the third week of June and ends the third week of October.

Some typical Tasks for Farmer's Market crew:

  • Pack the truck

  • Drive the truck to the market

  • Set up the stand

  • Be a warm and welcoming presence for our customers

  • Handle customer questions and feedback

  • Check customers out using Square POS

  • Take item inventory

  • Take down stand and clean the area

  • Repack the truck

  • Drive back to the stand

  • Unload the truck
